5th February 2013.....

Welcome to our new look

website!!!

We're slowly gearing up to getting back in the saddle after a good few weeks off!

January was a case of terrible weather and cancelled gigs!

We've been busy however contacting a whole host of venues, both old and new and dates are now starting to come through. Looking at new material too!

We'll be returning to some of our favourite venues this year, together with some new ones for us, and we've just had our slot at the Caerleon festival confirmed, this time at the Bell Inn.

This weekend sees us peddling our wares at the wedding fayre at the Marriott, at St Pierre, so hoping to secure some wedding dates!

We'll continue to post our live dates and any news on the site, and on our facebook page...in the meantime, thanks for looking in!!

8th February 2013...

A low key, last minute, sort of un-announced session for us tonight at the Waterloo Inn in Nash, Newport. Acoustic style-more like a rehearsal with an audience rather than a gig. Still be good for loosening up fingers and trying to remember how the songs go!!!

9th February 2013...

Well, we blew some of the cobwebs off at last nights "rehearsal" to a small but very appreciative audience. That's not to say there weren't any "How the bloody hell does this go" moments!!! So, at least we feel a little more prepared for the wedding fayre at St. Pierre tomorrow!!!

10th February 2013...

A very big thank you to eveyone who came to our stand at the wedding fayre this afternoon...thank you so much for your interest and for all your kind comments!!!

23rd February 2013...

Just a quick reminder, that 2 weeks today (Saturday 9th March), we’ll be returning to play at The Crows Nest in Cwmbran. We had a fantastic night there last Halloween, so looking forward to getting back there. We’ve also been busy negotiating dates at some new venues too…upcoming gigs include the New Inn Langstone, The Wheatsheaf in Magor, and we’ve secured a date at a great new Cardiff venue in St Mary’s Street, the BREWHOUSE. We’re also doing ?the food festival in Chepstow in June. Please Note: This event has been cancelled by the organisers.

All the dates can be found on the live dates page

As always, we’d love to catch up with you at one of the gigs!!!

9th March 2013...

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the Crows Nest tonight...once again fantastic to see so many familiar faces!!! We had a fun night and look forward to seeing you again soon!!!

26th March 2013...

We're very disappointed to learn the the organisers

involved have cancelled the Chepstow Cultural and Food Festival in June where we were due to be appearing.

We were really looking forward to that one!!!

10th April 2013...

Gearing up for our gig next Saturday (20th April) at the new BREWHOUSE venue in Cardiff..looking forward that that one. We've had a couple of enjoyable gigs over the last few weekends, at the New Inn Langstone, and at The Wheatsheaf Inn.

Just had confirmation also of our date for the Christmas Dinner Dance at The Glen Yr Afon Hotel in Usk on the 20th December.

What could be better?..great food, great surroundings, great band! Better book your tickets!!!

Sunday 21st April...

Great gig tonight at The Brewhouse, everyone had a blast! We already have another 3 dates booked there and they're offering us more again!!!

Thanks to everyone who came along!!!

Tuesday 7th May...

3 enjoyable gigs over the weekend, all very different in flavour!

A low key start to the gig at the Waterloo turned into a great night with the whole pub rockin’ by the end of the night….great atmosphere there!

Then on Sunday a raucous afternoon at the Glamorgan Hotel in Williamstown in the Rhondda. We weren’t sure at first how we’d fare as the pub normally have more rock bands, and after having to turn down several requests for Bon Jovi and the like we wondered what we were in for! But the tide turned, people soon warmed to the band and once again we sorted the place out! Some great characters there too!!

Yesterday saw a more chilled and relaxed (but still very enjoyable) gig at Sebastopol Social Club..a nice way to end what’s been a busy Bank Holiday!!!

Wednesday 26th June ...

Looking forward to hitting Caerleon for the next couple of gigs...this Friday (28th) sees us at Boleros Bar, then we're out at The Bell Inn on Saturday 13th July for the Caerleon Festival.

We also say a sad farewell to bass player Harv, who has decided to step down from the band to go on to pastures new.

Saturday 29th June...

Thanks to all at Boleros last night and a very special thanks to Rachel Lane for her fine work on bass ...Rachel stepped in for us on bass at the eleventh hour in order to honour our commitment for the gig...she had to learn 28 songs in around 10 days which is no mean feat. We are extremely grateful !!!...she'll be with us for quite a few gigs over the next couple of months or so...see you next at The Caerleon Festival on July 13th!!!

Tuesday 9th July...

Just four more days to the Caerleon Festival...sorting out the set-list!!!

Tuesday 16th July...

Well…Caerleon Festival…what can we say???

Ok..we’re gonna say this…
I don’t think we’ve played a gig as hot as this! The weather was magnificent but boy oh boy was it hot!
Very enjoyable gig though, and great to see so many friends and family there!!!

A big thanks also to the lads from Innovence for providing the PA and getting us a great sound!

Again thanks to the organisers of the Festival for inviting us and for all the hard work that goes into creating an event like this.

Spellbound will go “off the radar” for a few weeks now, with some private function gigs, and then our annual sojourn on the yacht over to the Med…..1st stop Monaco!!!

Then, at the end of August we’ll be back in the Caerleon area once again, as we drop anchor and moor up in Ponthir, at The Ponthir House to be precise, for a gig in the open air (dangerous we know!!), on Saturday Aug 24th!!

We look forward to seeing you there, where we will have a big screen on which to display all our holiday snaps!!!

As always…thanks for your support !!!
See ya soon!!!!

Sunday 18th August ...

A big thanks to Eleanor and Leon for their hospitality yet again at Treadam. It was a pleasure to play for their wedding and the barn looked stunning!

So, looking forward to next weeks' bank holiday weekend...we have 2 gigs lined up, both of them outdoors so keeping fingers crossed for the weather!!
On Saturday, we are playing in the beer garden at The Ponthir House Inn, Ponthir...there's a few bands on throughout the afternoon and evening so should be a good day...all welcome...we're on between 5pm -7pm...be great to see you there!
Then on Sunday we head down to the Wenvoe Arms, Wenvoe for another open air gig. We are on about 6.30pm and later on there is a Phil Collins tribute act, so we've obviously hit the big time!!
Be good to see you there also.

Monday 26th August ...

An enjoyable weekend that involved 2 gigs, good food, camping and Phil Collins !! (Not Really!!!)

Good gigs and great support from friends and families at Ponthir House (saved from near disaster  by the loan of a PA from "Rock'n'Roll Revival"), and a gig at The Wenvoe Arms opening for a Phil Collins tribute act.

I don't think we'll say any more about that!!!

Saturday 7th September...

An enjoyable gig last night at The Crown Inn with a great audience. Real Good fun!!!

Looking forward to next week for a return to The Wheatsheaf in Magor.
